Snow in Mallorca is occasional in the coldest winter months at the highest altitudes. Seeing the first snowflakes fall on a Mediterranean island such as Mallorca may sound strange to those who do not know the island. But it could be said that it snows in Mallorca every year, at least one snowfall a year in the Serra de Tamuntana.

There are winters when it can even snow at sea level, as happened in February 2012. But, mostly, the snow only falls on the highest points of the Tramuntana.
