High demand has led Palma’s Teatre Principal to schedule a new performance for the 18th of February
What was to be a dress rehearsal on the 18th of February will become a new performance of ‘La Bohème’, “one of the most performed operas in history and one of the most appreciated by opera fans”, as described by Palma’s Teatre Principal, the venue where the love story of Rodolfo and Mimí will be told.
The new performance on the 18th of February will be added to those already confirmed (20th, 22nd and 24th of February), for which there are no tickets left due to the great success of the show.
This “sad tale of love and bohemian life in 19th-century Paris” – as described by Josep R. Cerdà, director of the Principal – is coming to Palma in a production by the Teatro Comunale di Modena and a staging that will be staged in Palma by Salvo Piro. Matteo Beltrami will be the musical director of this well-known title by Giacomo Puccini.
The island’s director of tourism, María Pastor, wanted to highlight the quality of the opera: “This opera has a cast of great quality, made up of local and international artists who are sure to give us a lot of enjoyment”. Up to 60 people will take to the stage simultaneously with a team of soloists led by Lianna Haroutounian and Andrei Danilov.
