Air Nostrum has inaugurated the new flights from Palma to Andorra. A new route connecting Son Sant Joan airport with Andorra-La Seu d’Urgell airport. This new service will be carried out as a pilot test throughout the 2023-2024 winter season. The initiative seeks not only to facilitate access to Andorra, but also to diversify the options for tourist arrivals, thus promoting economic activity in the Pyrenean region.

Route and flight schedule from Palma to Andorra

Air Nostrum, which won the international tender, will operate two return flights every Friday and Sunday. It will run from 5 January to 31 March, covering a total of thirteen weeks of operations during the winter season. The flight schedules will be as follows:

  • Friday: PMI-LEU (Palma de Mallorca to Andorra) at 08:45, and LEU-PMI (Andorra to Palma de Mallorca) at 10:45.
  • Sunday: PMI-LEU at 13:45 and LEU-PMI at 15:45.

Tickets will be sold through Air Nostrum’s usual channels, including its website. Prices start from 50 euros per flight, with an attractive 75% discount for residents of the Balearic Islands, in accordance with Spanish State policies applicable to all air operations from Balearic airports to the mainland.

The first of the flights from Palma to Andorra, made in an ATR-72, the same type of aircraft that connects Andorra with Madrid, carried 38 passengers plus crew. On the return flight to Mallorca, an occupancy of 17 passengers was recorded, marking the start of an air connection that promises not only comfort, but also the opening up of new opportunities for those wishing to explore both regions.

The Minister of Tourism and Trade, Jordi Torres, and the Minister of Territory of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Ester Capella, welcomed passengers on the inaugural flight at Andorra-La Seu d’Urgell Airport. During his speech, Torres highlighted the importance of this new route, which further consolidates the links between Andorra and the Balearic Islands. “With the aim of continuing to grow, we are launching this link with the Balearic Islands, a market that is very interested in visiting us and with which we hope to establish a successful connection,” said Torres.
