The Portocolom Triathlon 2024, scheduled for 14 April 2024, is approaching. A renowned international event that attracts competitors from 22 countries to the island to compete in the 55.5 and 111 kilometre races, comprising swimming, cycling and running disciplines. The 600 bibs available for the race have already sold out, reflecting the huge interest in the sporting event.

Of the participants, almost 30 per cent come from Germany, followed by the British, who make up 7 per cent of the total. In terms of gender, women make up 21% of the total entries, which is a record for female participation in this year’s Portocolom Triathlon 2024.

Some of the stars who will be competing in the event are Germany’s Lukas Schnödewind, Belgium’s Vincent Van de Walle and Switzerland’s Lorenzo Delco. National athletes include Miguel Fernández Miniño, Alberto Parrilla, Daniel Esbrí and Pere Lladó, among others. In addition to women such as the Belgian Alexandra Tondeur, the German Anja Fachbach and the Dutch Claudia Striekwold.

Friday 12th April

  • 17:00 – 19:00 Collection of race bibs and exhibition.
  • 19:00 Presentation of the Portocolom Triathlon School at the Toni Peña Sports Centre.

Saturday 13th April

  • 10:00 – 19:00 Collection of bib numbers and expo.
  • 9:30-13:00 TRIKIDS Portocolom.
  • 15:00-19:00 Bike check-in.
  • 19:00 Technical meeting/briefing in the Toni Peña Sports Centre.

Sunday 14th April

  • Technical service from 7:30.
  • 7:30-8:15 Access to pits allowed for athletes 111 (not for check-in).
  • 8:45 Departures distance 111 – Rolling Start.
  • 9:30-10:30 Access to pits allowed for athletes 55.5 (not for check-in).
  • 11:00 Start distance 55.5 – Rolling Start.
  • 13:30-15:30 Post race lunch at Polideportivo Toni Peña.
  • 14:30-16:30 Check out from the pits.
  • 15:45 Trophy ceremony in Toni Peña Pavilion.
