The #MallorcaConfinada2020 collection is transformed into a photo exhibition on the Paseo del Born that opens on March 13 and will be available until May 31
#MallorcaConfinada2020, the choral project launched by the communication agency Mallorca Global and Mallorca Caprice to obtain a faithful visual account of what happened in Mallorcan homes during lockdown, will run from next Saturday, March 13, until May 31 with its own exhibition on Paseo del Born, thanks to the collaboration of the Palma City Council.
The citizens of the island will be able to come to the center of Palma to contemplate through 16 panels a representative selection of the almost 400 photographs sent by dozens of Mallorcan residents to share their experiences and feelings during an unusual historical period. The exhibition “Mallorca a casa” is a collective testimony of how we live confinement and represents in turn a call and applause for civic responsibility.
The exhibition also dedicates a space to the initiative launched by the Local Police in April 2020, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, A story and drawing contest designed to stimulate the positive and creative thinking of the little ones at a time in which their routines were greatly altered.
A new collection of unconfined
“Mallorca a casa” ends with a new popular call, “Mallorca: Reconciliation gazes”, which again invites citizens to share through photographs and videos their experiences with the environment during the de-escalation process after lockdown, from May 2020 until today.
