From April 10 to August 24, 2025, CaixaForum Palma presents Comic. Dreams and History. An exhibition that pays tribute to comics as one of the great cultural expressions of the 20th and 21st centuries. The show offers a fascinating journey through some of the most iconic stories and characters of all time. At the same time, it explores the creative process behind each panel: from the first sketch to the final print.
The comic exhibition at CaixaForum Palma invites visitors to discover comics not only as visual art, but also as a powerful tool for thought and social critique. Through key authors like George Herriman, Milton Caniff, and Jean Giraud (Moebius), it shows how comics have captured and anticipated major cultural shifts throughout history.
Among the works on display, visitors will reconnect with legendary characters such as The Yellow Kid, Little Nemo in Slumberland, Tintin, Flash Gordon, The Spirit, Sin City, Spider-Man, Watchmen, Arzach, and Corto Maltese. In addition, the show includes works by renowned Spanish artists, creating an intergenerational and transnational dialogue around comics as an artistic language.
