Next Saturday, April 19th, 2025, the municipality of Calvià will celebrate a new edition of the Book Day with a full cultural event at the Passeig de la Mar in Palmanova. From 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., this iconic promenade will be filled with activities for all ages, including books, roses, storytelling, batucadas, workshops and many more surprises.

Organised by the Ajuntament de Calvià through the Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries (IMEB), the event aims to promote reading and offer a fun, family-friendly literary and cultural experience.

Highlights of Book Day in Palmanova

Throughout the day, visitors can explore the stalls set up along the promenade, featuring local bookshops, an original Ephemeral Library with the BiblioRoulotte, as well as book and rose sales points—the perfect way to celebrate such a special occasion.

In addition, numerous interactive areas have been organised, including:

  • Creative workshops with 9KCodril and Temps Lliure.

  • Board games area and traditional games with Ludoteca de Jardí.

  • Face painting for the little ones with Mundo Arcoiris.

  • Roaming performances by Batucada Valkyria, Genobatucada and the spectacular Dimonis Comte Mal, adding a festive and traditional Mallorcan touch.
