The DO Pla i Llevant has announced the second edition of its Wine Tasting Competition for Couples, an oenological experience set to take place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Sala Gran del Pati de les Dones de la Misericòrdia in Palma.
Following the success of the first edition, the competition returns with the aim of promoting wine culture in Mallorca through a participatory, fun and educational experience, while also showcasing wines produced under the DO Pla i Llevant designation of origin.
A wine tasting experience in Palma for wine lovers
During the event, participating couples will take part in a blind tasting of eight different wines, answering questions related to:
- Wine type
- Grape varieties
- Production methods
- Organoleptic characteristics
The competition combines learning, entertainment and the tasting of Mallorcan wines in one of Palma’s most iconic cultural venues.

- 3rd prize: Two sets of 3 wine bottles and a winery visit
DO Pla i Llevant promotes wine culture in Mallorca
DO Pla i Llevant continues to strengthen its commitment to promoting Mallorcan wine and supporting the wineries that form part of this designation of origin.
The competition jury will include members of the Regulatory Council, winemakers and professionals from the wine sector, who will evaluate the participants’ answers using a previously established scoring system.
