Palma’s Caixa Fórum is hosting the Up & Jazz, thus committing to cultural programmes within its headquarters: in the emblematic building of the Gran Hotel. Mallorca Caprice recommends this musical and theatrical activity for the whole family to enjoy this weekend. On the 21st and 22nd of January, coinciding with the festivities of Sant Sebastià, Caixa Fórum will offer a show of jazz versions of the most famous artists of this genre: Louis Armstrong, George Gershwin, Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck and Henry Mancini, among many others.

This is an event in which a friendly, cheerful and entertaining jazz will be the main theme of a story: four characters meet in a hotel lift where they will discover a common passion: jazz.  This cultural activity is recommended for families with children aged 6 and over, and lasts about 50 minutes.

The show is directed by Albert Ruiz and Cristina Estarelles, with musical direction by Asier Olabarrieta. Tickets cost 6 euros, and must be purchased for both adults and children. Children under 3 years of age have free admission, but must purchase their tickets. For more information on the play and ticket purchase, you can consult the official Caixa Forum website.
