The Chopin Festival 2026 will conclude with a joint recital by pianists Bartomeu Jaume and Miquel Estelrich.
The performance will bring to a close a programme staged across two different venues and featuring performers from different generations, ranging from young finalists and prizewinners in international competitions to pianists with long and distinguished careers.
Concerts at the Cartoixa de Valldemossa
The performances on 9, 15, 16 and 23 August will take place in the rooms and garden of Cell No. 2 at the Cartoixa de Valldemossa.
The choice of venue has particular historical significance. Frédéric Chopin and the writer George Sand stayed at the Charterhouse during the winter of 1838–1839, a period that made Valldemossa one of the places in Mallorca most closely associated with the composer.
