The Son Macià Festivities 2026 will officially take place from Friday, 31 July to Saturday, 15 August, although the programme includes an opening event on Thursday, 30 July. For more than two weeks, this village in the municipality of Manacor will host children’s activities, sport, music, folk dancing, gastronomy and some of its best-known traditions.

Highlights include the Diada de Fogons, the Nit de la Cervesa, the Gran Revetla, the Campionat Mundial d’Estràngol, the Cercada de Gambosins and the 40th Fira de Son Macià, which will take place on Friday, 14 August.

When are the Son Macià Festivities 2026?

The festivities will run from 31 July to 15 August 2026, with the final day coinciding with the feast of the Mare de Déu Assumpta.

The programme will, however, begin on Thursday, 30 July with the traditional decoration of the square, houses and streets of Son Macià.

Workshops, traditional games and an area for children aged between zero and three.

Organisers recommend bringing a bicycle and clothes that can get dirty.

Wednesday, 5 August

18:00. Family foam party

Participants should wear suitable clothes and footwear to prevent slipping and bring their own water pistols.

20:00. Talk on mental health

The session, entitled Dialoguem Obertament de Salut Mental —“Let’s Talk Openly About Mental Health”— will be led by:

Performance of the comedy Sa fosca de s’univers by Argelagues Teatre.

The programme will conclude with a refreshing and sweet finale.
