The Cala Rajada Carme Festival 2026 is already underway and is now entering its most eagerly awaited days. After kicking off at the end of June, the celebrations are reaching their climax with a packed programme featuring the big weekend open-air parties, the popular 80s Night, the traditional Sopar Mariner (Seafarers’ Dinner), the maritime procession in honour of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and a spectacular fireworks display that will bring the festivities to a memorable close.

Organised by the Associació Festes del Carme in collaboration with Capdepera Town Council, the celebrations will once again fill Cala Rajada harbour with music, tradition and a festive atmosphere until 16 July.

Thursday, 9 July

The programme begins with an afternoon packed with traditional activities.

  • 6:00 pm – Traditional games for children and adults (sack races, ribbon races, water games and more).
  • Followed by:
    • Greased Pole Challenge.
    • 42nd Harbour Swimming Crossing.
  • 8:30 pm – Line dancing masterclass.
  • 10:00 pm – 37th Cala Rajada Summer Serenades in the gardens of Torre Cega.

Friday, 10 July

80s Night Party

One of the most anticipated events of the festival.

From 9:30 pm, Cala Rajada will travel back to the 1980s with the “Yo Fui a EGB” themed party featuring:

  • Live concert by El Hombre de los 80.

    • Javi Yáñez
    • Kiko Muñoz

Anyone attending dressed in 1980s clothing or accessories will receive their first beer or soft drink free of charge.

Saturday, 11 July

Grand Open-Air Party

The liveliest night of the entire festival.

From 10:30 pm, live performances by:

  • Baix’n’Nicotina
  • Cirko
  • Val Nou

Every year this open-air party attracts hundreds of people to Cala Rajada.

The Celebrations Continue Until Carme Day

Monday, 13 July

One of the festival’s most traditional evenings.

  • 8:30 pm – Sopar Mariner (Seafarers’ Dinner) (popular price: €8).
  • 29th Habaneras Singing Festival.
  • Free tasting of Rom Cremat prepared by Sandra Mallol.
  • Raffle featuring an artwork by artist Laura González and many other prizes.

Wednesday, 15 July

Carmeo amb Banda

From 9:00 pm:

  • DJ Mosson.
  • Capdepera Concert Band.
  • DJ Jaume Colombàs.

An evening designed for dancing and enjoying the festival with family and friends.

16 July: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Day

The festival’s main day keeps alive one of Mallorca’s most important maritime traditions.

Programme:

  • Decorated Boats Competition.
  • 7:45 pm – Procession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel from the church to the harbour.
  • 8:00 pm – Solemn Mass.
  • Maritime procession and floral tribute in memory of deceased fishermen.
  • 10:00 pm – Grand fireworks display.
  • 11:00 pm – Closing concert by Desvetleries.
