The Consell de Mallorca opens registration this Monday, 7th September, for a new edition of the Estades per a la Gent Gran, with 1,000 places available across two three-day stays in Cala Mandia. The programme includes all-inclusive accommodation, hiking, yoga, Pilates, dancing and numerous leisure activities for €84.10 per person.

The Estades per a la Gent Gran de Mallorca 2026 return with a new edition aimed at promoting active ageing, social interaction and community among the island’s older residents.

The programme will offer 1,000 places, divided into two groups of 500 participants, with registration opening this Monday, 7th September.

The stays will take place at the Blau Punta Reina hotel in Cala Mandia during October.

Dates for the Estades per a la Gent Gran 2026

Participants will be able to choose between the two scheduled sessions:

First session: from 26th to 28th October.

Second session: from 28th to 30th October.

Each stay will last three days and will combine accommodation, physical activities, cultural activities and opportunities to spend time with people from different municipalities across Mallorca.

How much do the Estades per a la Gent Gran cost?

The programme is 75% funded by the Consell de Mallorca.

The cost for participants will be €84.10 per person, including all-inclusive accommodation in a double room.

Hiking, yoga, Pilates and dancing among the activities

The Estades programme is designed to combine relaxation, physical activity and leisure.

Planned activities include hiking, Zumba, yoga, gymnastics, Pilates, line dancing, ballroom dancing, sevillanas and ball de bot.

There will also be truc tournaments, musical bingo and a range of talks aimed specifically at older people.

Another aim of the programme is to encourage participants to meet new people and build relationships that can continue beyond the days of the stay.

When does registration open?

Applications for one of the 1,000 available places open on Monday, 7th September.

To make registration easier, the Consell de Mallorca will provide in-person assistance in Palma, Inca and Manacor, as well as telephone support to answer questions and assist anyone who may have difficulty completing the process.

Assistance will be available from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

In Inca, assistance will be available at the Centre Sociocultural d’Inca, carrer del Bisbe Llompart, 56. The information telephone number is 971 50 57 92.

In Manacor, participants can visit the Centre Sociocultural de Manacor, on carrer de Pius XII, or call 971 55 13 48.

A further 1,000 places will be offered in a future call

The Consell de Mallorca has also announced that the programme will continue with a future call offering another 1,000 places.

This will allow even more older residents of Mallorca to take part in the Estades after this first autumn edition.
