Binissalem Float Parade 2026: time, route and prizes

The float parade at the Festa des Vermar 2026 will take place in Binissalem on Saturday, 26th September at 5:00 pm. The traditional Desfilada de Carrosses will make its way through the town’s streets, accompanied by the Associació de la Tercera Edat and the Xeremiers de Binissalem. This year’s programme features a new starting point and prizes of up to €900 for participating floats.

The Binissalem Float Parade 2026 will be one of the main events of the final weekend of the Festa des Vermar, which celebrates its 60th edition this year with a programme of activities running from 4th to 27th September.

The event will take place on Saturday, 26th September from 5:00 pm and will bring together floats created especially for the occasion, featuring both traditional and original designs linked to the festivities.

When is the Binissalem Float Parade 2026?

The Desfilada de Carrosses will begin on Saturday, 26th September at 5:00 pm.

The floats will be accompanied by the Associació de la Tercera Edat and the Xeremiers de Binissalem, who will provide traditional music along the route.

The parade coincides with one of the main days of the Festa des Vermar, which also includes the Fira del Vi and an evening celebration.

The 2026 festivities programme introduces a new assembly and starting point in the industrial estate, along with specific instructions for the parade route.

The Ajuntament states that vehicles will be able to travel up carrer Reg towards the industrial estate until 4:30 pm.

Prizes for the 2026 float parade

The parade will feature three prize categories: traditional floats, original floats and small floats.

In both the traditional and original categories, the prizes will be €900 for first place, €700 for second, €500 for third, €300 for fourth and €100 for fifth.

In the small floats category, prizes of €500, €400, €300, €200 and €100 will be awarded to the first five places, respectively.

The judging panel will consist of independent individuals who will cast their votes once the parade has finished. The results will be announced publicly.

There will also be a children’s category for floats created by young people aged 14 and under.

Registration and participation rules

Registration for floats and parade groups took place from 14th to 18th September at the Ajuntament de Binissalem. According to the regulations, late registrations are not accepted for technical and legal reasons.

All floats, including small ones, must be registered in order to participate.

Each float must have a responsible adult who is a registered resident of Binissalem. This person must remain on or alongside the float throughout the route and wear an identification badge.

The regulations also establish safety requirements for vehicles and platforms, including valid documentation, mandatory lighting and safety railings where required.

The organisers recommend maintaining the traditional appearance of the festivities, wearing pagès or trepitjador clothing, avoiding excessively loud music and not smoking on the floats. These guidelines will be taken into account when awarding the prizes.

What else is happening in Binissalem on Saturday, 26th September?

The float parade forms part of a day that will continue with some of the main celebrations of the Festa des Vermar.

At 8:00 pm, the official opening of the 21st Fira del Vi will take place at Parc de la Rectoria. The wine fair will be open from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

Later, the Gran Revetlla will begin at 9:00 pm in plaça de l’Església, with performances by Aftersuns, Baix’N’Nicotina and DJ Joan Campos until 3:00 am.
