The Summer 2026 Cultural Programme at La Misericòrdia is now underway. Between June and September, this iconic cultural centre managed by the Consell de Mallorca will become one of Palma’s leading cultural and leisure venues, thanks to a wide-ranging schedule of free outdoor activities.

The programme includes theatre, concerts, family-friendly performances, storytelling sessions, exhibitions and cultural events for all ages, with the debut of the new “Principal a la fresca” series as one of this year’s highlights.

The Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, highlighted the institution’s commitment to bringing culture closer to both residents and visitors during the summer months.

Most activities will take place in the gardens and outdoor spaces of the La Misericòrdia Cultural Centre, which have recently been renovated to enhance the visitor experience.

All events are free of charge, subject to venue capacity.

Principal a la fresca: the major cultural addition for 2026

The main new feature this summer is the “Principal a la fresca” programme, an initiative designed to bring performing arts to the public in an open-air setting.

The programme includes four major events:

  • 13 June – 9:30 pm
    Filles de la Misericòrdia, by Iguana Teatre.
  • 28 June – 10:00 pm
    The Day David Bowie Died, based on the novel by Sebastià Portell and presented to mark LGBTQ+ Pride Day.
  • 3 July – 10:00 pm
    Zarzuela Recital, featuring soprano Natalia Salom, tenor Antoni Lliteres and pianist Alicia Moreno.
  • 5 July – 10:00 pm
    Petites tragèdies, a free adaptation of texts by Aleksandr Pushkin.

Misericòrdia Petit: activities for children and families

Families will also play a leading role thanks to the “Misericòrdia Petit” programme, featuring activities specially designed for children.

Music will once again take centre stage in the cultural centre’s gardens through the “Dissabtes a la Misericòrdia” concert series, featuring artists from a variety of musical genres.
