The hotel in Santa Ponsa becomes a living art space with the work of the Catalan artist
Kimpton Aysla Mallorca inaugurates a new cycle of contemporary art on the island with an immersive exhibition by artist Aldo Comas, open to the public from July 18, 2025. This exhibition marks the beginning of an innovative cultural initiative organized by Multidisciplinary Creative under the concept Scape the Ordinary, created by Martina Benvenutto, positioning the hotel as a vibrant space for artistic creation and exchange.
During the private opening held on July 17, the event brought together prominent figures from the worlds of art, gastronomy, and culture, including actress Macarena Gómez, in an exclusive setting that reflects the creative vision behind this project.
The exhibition transforms the common areas of the hotel in Santa Ponsa into a sensory journey where nature, painting, and memory blend in continuous dialogue with the surroundings. Aldo Comas’ work is deeply influenced by plant elements and intimate symbolism tied to his family history—especially to his grandmother Pilar Colón Hueso, a key source of emotional and aesthetic inspiration.
“Art should live within spaces, not just hang as decoration. This exhibition is a conversation with the surroundings and with those who inhabit them,” says the artist.
The project is part of the Site-Specific Contemporary Art Collection, curated by ABA ART LAB, which explores themes such as sustainability and local identity through sculptures, installations, and photography created specifically for the hotel.
With this initiative, Kimpton Aysla Mallorca reinforces its commitment to hospitality that goes beyond luxury, embracing emotional, creative, and sensory experiences. The exhibition is open to both guests and external visitors and will remain accessible throughout the summer season.
