The Fira del Caragol Sant Jordi 2025 will take place on Sunday, May 18, and this year it will do so for a very special reason: the 25th anniversary of its founding. Declared of municipal interest and established as one of the most important festive and gastronomic events in Palma, this fair will pay tribute to the snail, one of the main staples of Mallorcan cuisine.
During this unique day in Sant Jordi and Pla de Sant Jordi, locals and visitors alike will enjoy a full program of activities that blend tradition, gastronomy, crafts, and folk culture.
A fair with local flavor
The Fira del Caragol was born with the aim of promoting local gastronomy and giving visibility to local producers. Today, it has become a large-scale event that brings together both Mallorcan snail farms and small businesses and organizations from the primary sector.
In addition to snails, visitors will be able to taste other traditional products from the Balearic Islands such as cheeses, oils, wines, cold cuts, sobrassada, panades, cocarrois, and organic preparations, all accompanied by a festive atmosphere.
Crafts, music and activities for all ages
Beyond its gastronomic essence, the fair also offers a representative display of local craftsmanship and Mallorcan popular culture. This year, several tents and municipal services will be set up, along with a play area and children’s activities organized by EMT Palma, which will also bring a hydrogen bus for curious minds to explore from the inside.
The fair will also feature the participation of the Associació de Cuiners Afincats a les Illes Balears (ASCAIB), as well as Sant Jordi’s neighborhood associations, ensuring a varied and high-quality culinary offering.
