The best breakfast in the world is in Mallorca. It is the one served at the Hotel del Mar, a Gran Meliá located near Illetes. This is what the Beyond Luxury Awards of the luxury hotel industry have declared. A five-stage breakfast with the hallmark of Michelin-starred chef Marga Coll. The exquisite journey of flavours and textures of more than two hours through the traditional gastronomy of the islands offered by the hotel in Mallorca has been taken into account to win the title of the best breakfast in the world. Textured fruits, exceptional cured meats and cheeses, brown bread, organic eggs, empanadas, cocarrois, select wines and, to finish, the most delicious typical sweets of the island: ensaimadas, potato cakes, cremadillos and cuartos, with sweet wine and homemade infusions.
To enjoy the best breakfast in the world in Mallorca it is not necessary to stay in the hotel rooms. It is served from 9:00 to 11:00 and can be booked at a price of 66 euros.
And all this in a hotel that is an oasis of relaxation, delicacy and hedonism in front of the sea, with its own spa and only for adults. The building, with a privileged location and private beach, is designed by the Spanish architect José Antonio Coderch and is also known as ‘the chocolate building’, due to its design and tile cladding. The hotel is also a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
