What are the Jane’s Walk Routes?
Inspired by the ideas of Jane Jacobs, the Jane’s Walk Palma Routes are collective walks without designated experts, but with open conversations. Citizens share their knowledge, experiences, or research to explore topics such as local history, urban planning, mobility, heritage, gentrification, feminism, the environment, and neighborhood life.
The goal is to encourage civic participation and collective reflection on the urban environment. These walks create bonds between neighbors, recover the memory of public spaces, and challenge us to rethink the kind of city we want to build. All this takes place in a free, unregistered, inclusive and welcoming environment.
