LOOP Design and Circularity, presented by the Balearic Islands Regional Development Agency (ADR Balears) and the Pollença City Council, will offer an exhibition of sustainable, locally produced furniture design at the “Tocar Fusta” exhibition. This showcase, held at the El Roser Church in Pollença from November 9 to December 1, aims to highlight the importance of connecting design and sustainability, using wood sourced from pine trees felled during Typhoon Juliette in 2023.

Featuring notable design studios and professionals such as Aulets Arquitectes, Isla Architects, 110 Mallorca Studio, Edicions de Disseny La Pecera, and Sara Regal Alonso, the LOOP project renews local furniture design by creating pieces that not only stand out for their quality but also honor local craftsmanship and woodworking traditions. The exhibited furniture has been crafted by Germans Adrover carpentry, using artisanal techniques that emphasize Mallorca’s production value and the use of local materials like Tramuntana wood.

The event is supported by local entities such as Xarxa Forestal, Tramuntana XXI, the Escorca City Council, ADEMA University School, and the Wood Technology Center (CETEBAL), strengthening the commitment to sustainability and local development. Additionally, a second exhibition features pieces by designer Curro Claret, created from reused furniture, promoting recycling and circularity.

LOOP Design and Circularity thus establishes itself as a benchmark in sustainable design in Mallorca, fostering a circular economy that unites design, craftsmanship, and respect for the environment. A unique opportunity to discover how design can be both innovative and environmentally responsible.
