Next Sunday 4th February, the municipality of Son Servera will open its doors for the 14th edition of the Almond Blossom Fair. From 9:30 to 14:00, visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich local tradition, explore almond products and enjoy cultural activities in the idyllic setting of Ca s’Hereu.
Almond varieties: serveri heritage
This year, the Son Servera Almond Blossom Fair promises to present the 32 existing varieties of this fruit. From sweet to bitter almonds, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the diversity of this essential ingredient in Mallorcan culture and gastronomy.
The Almond Blossom Fair has become an eagerly awaited annual event, celebrating its fourteenth edition with growing enthusiasm and participation. For the last thirteen years, the first Sunday in February has brought together thousands of people around almonds in a day full of flavour, tradition and local culture.
Last year, more than 3,000 people gathered in Son Servera to enjoy the variety of products made from almonds and almond blossom. With 40 stalls, including more than 10 new ones in the last edition, visitors had the opportunity to explore and purchase perfumes, candles, oils, soaps, gastronomic products, liqueurs, creams and floral crafts, among other options.
Activities for all tastes
The Almond Blossom Fair in Son Servera not only offers shopping opportunities, but also provides a complete experience. Visitors can go inside the Casas de Can s’Hereu, learn about Mallorcan folklore through the traditional dances of the Agrupación Folclórica de sa Revetlla – at 12:00 – and explore an exhibition of agricultural machinery.
Son Servera has much more to offer than just sun and sand. Almonds are an essential treasure in Mallorca’s cultural and gastronomic identity. A product that is not only part of the local roots, but also a source of pride for the community.
In short, the Almond Blossom Fair in Son Servera 2024 promises to be a vibrant celebration of tradition, diversity and local flavour. An event that highlights the importance of preserving and sharing the cultural and gastronomic riches that make Mallorca a unique destination.
