The Mallorcan municipality of Muro will celebrate from November 5 to 9, 2025 a new edition of the Pumpkin Fair (Fira de la Carabassa), one of the most emblematic autumn events in Mallorca. In its nineteenth edition, the fair will offer a program full of family activities, workshops, live music, gastronomy, and popular culture, consolidating itself as an unmissable event for both residents and visitors.
For five days, the town center will be transformed into a large festive space where the pumpkin will be the star in all its forms: from creative workshops and contests to a complete gastronomic route through local bars, restaurants, and bakeries.

Friday, November 7
7:00 a.m. – Hunting day
Local hunting championship with dogs.
Organized by: La Becada Hunters Association.
9:00 to 11:00 a.m. – Find the pumpkin
Five pumpkins will be hidden around the town of Muro.
Every half hour a clue will be given through the Town Hall’s social media.
Whoever finds it keeps it and wins a prize.
Activity open to all ages.
5:00 p.m. – The tale of Na Carabassina and the magic pumpkin keychain workshop
For children aged 5 to 12.

6:30 p.m. – Book presentation “Temps i natura a Mallorca. Calendari natural per a gent encuriosida”

12:45 p.m. – XIX Pumpkin contest
Balearic Islands Championship of native pumpkins.
Prizes for the top three in each category and product hampers for all participants.
6:00 p.m. – Popular dance with Revetla d’Algebelí
Location: Square in front of the Town Hall.
Around the Town Hall there will be stands with exhibitions and sales of different types of pumpkins.

Gastronomy with a taste of pumpkin
During the fair days, Muro’s bars, restaurants, and bakeries will offer a gastronomic route dedicated to pumpkin, featuring dishes and desserts made with this local product. The offerings include soups, quiches, cod with pumpkin sauce, rice dishes, artisanal desserts, and pumpkin ensaimadas.
