On the upcoming Sunday, January 5, 2025, Can Pastilla will host the 15th Edition of the Cursa Infantil de Reis. This event is a fun sports race aimed at the youngest members of the family. Organized by the Ajuntament de Palma, this traditional race combines the Christmas spirit with the promotion of sports and values such as effort, solidarity, and respect.
Details of the Cursa Infantil de Reis 2025
The Cursa Infantil de Reis 2025 is for children aged 0 to 12, with distances adapted for each age group. The races will be held at different times to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants:
- 11:00 am: Children aged 11 to 12 (800 meters).
- 11:15 am: Children aged 8 to 10 (600 meters).
- 11:30 am: Children aged 6 to 7 (400 meters).
- 11:45 am: Children aged 4 to 5 (400 meters, accompanied by an adult).
- 12:00 pm: Children aged 0 to 3 (200 meters, accompanied by an adult).
All participants will receive a medal, along with fresh fruit and Quely biscuits, thanks to the collaboration with Mercapalma.

Registration for the race is free and will be available from Tuesday, December 17 to Friday, January 3 at 12:00 pm on the official website: www.elitechip.net.
In addition to the races, the event will offer various family-friendly activities:
- Barridiades: Games and sports activities for all ages.
- Visit from the Royal Page: Children can deliver their letters to the Three Kings.
With a commitment to sustainability, attendees are encouraged to bring reusable bottles to refill at water stations. There will also be free transport on lines 3, 7, 20, 25, and 35 for registered participants and their companions.
During the event’s presentation, Palma’s mayor, Jaime Martínez Llabrés, emphasized the importance of the Cursa Infantil de Reis as a way to instill values and encourage early involvement in sports: “It’s an opportunity for the little ones to discover sports in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.”
The event’s ambassadors, Natalia Romero (Spanish champion of athletics) and Julia Murphy (Spanish champion of cycling), were praised for embodying the values the event seeks to pass on to the younger generation.
