El próximo 6 September, Palma will experience an unprecedented musical event as part of the celebrations for the Mare de Déu de la Salut: Patrona 2025. The Parc de la Mar will host, for the first time, a major free concert featuring a line-up combining international and local talent. The initiative is organised by the Ajuntament de Palma and Mallorca Live Music.

Patrona 2025 will kick off at 18:30 and continue until 00:30. The programme includes internationally renowned artists such as BLOND:ISH and WhoMadeWho (Hybrid DJ Set), alongside performances by Lourdes Lourdes and Bibi Smalls.

Patrona 2025 will close all six lanes of Passeig Marítim

The Parc de la Mar, with the Cathedral as a backdrop, will feature an immersive stage, screens, lighting, and state-of-the-art sound. There will also be a varied gastronomic offering with bars and food trucks.

One of the most remarkable novelties will be the closure of all six lanes of Passeig Marítim, allowing attendees to dance without cars around. “Nothing like this has ever happened in the city,” said First Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture, Javier Bonet, at the event presentation.

To ensure safety and cleanliness, the Council is preparing a special operational plan. Glass containers will not be allowed.

European Capital of Culture 2031

Bonet highlighted that this will be “the largest concert ever held in public streets in Palma’s history”. He also emphasised that the event will help position the city within the framework of the European Capital of Culture 2031 candidacy.

With this proposal, Palma seeks to consolidate itself as a European cultural benchmark, combining tradition, music, and modernity in an iconic seaside location.
