Cinema Lliure a la Platja 2025 returns this summer to Mallorca with an irresistible proposal: free beach cinema, at sunset, by the sea, featuring a carefully curated selection of films awarded at festivals such as the Oscars, the Goyas, and Cannes. The fourth edition of the event will take place from June 26 to July 1 in four municipalities on the island: Palma, Alcúdia, Manacor, and Pollença.
The event will offer six free outdoor screenings, all starting at sunset (between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.), in unique locations such as Platja de les Fontanelles (Palma), Platja de Porto Cristo (Manacor), Platja d’Alcúdia, and Platja de Tamarells (Port de Pollença).
The series continues its commitment to original version and quality cinema, showcasing Catalan productions, local works, and short films by emerging filmmakers from the Balearic Islands, selected in the Talent+ and Nou Talent sections.

An accessible, open-air cultural project
Cinema Lliure a la Platja 2025 is much more than just an outdoor cinema series. Born 14 years ago in Barcelona and present in Mallorca since 2021, this free festival aims to bring the seventh art to everyone, in a natural and welcoming setting like the beach, with a format designed to enjoy auteur films outdoors and in their original versions.
Additionally, the project promotes local emerging talent through short films by creators from the Balearic Islands, thus boosting the archipelago’s audiovisual culture.
An initiative with institutional support
The event is made possible thanks to the support of the Consell de Mallorca, the Museu Marítim, the Govern de les Illes Balears, the IEB, the participating town councils, and partner organizations such as RIU Hotels, Fundació Baleària, and the Obra Cultural Balear, among others.
