The Chinese New Year 2026 in Palma will be celebrated on Sunday, February 22 in the popular Plaça de Pere Garau, with a large festival organised by ACHINIB. The meaning of the Year of the Horse in the Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival (春节), marks the beginning of the new lunar cycle and symbolises renewal, prosperity and new beginnings. In 2026 it will be dedicated to the Horse, a sign associated with values such as energy, freedom, strength, dynamism and good fortune. This theme will be reflected in the performances, decorations and festive atmosphere throughout the day.
