The Festival Paco de Lucía Mallorca 2026 celebrates its 5th anniversary, firmly established as one of the island’s major cultural events and as the only annual festival bearing the name of Paco de Lucía officially agreed with the Paco de Lucía Foundation. This edition once again places Mallorca at the heart of contemporary flamenco, combining concerts, heritage venues, and a strong educational and social vocation.
Founded in 2022, the festival pays tribute to Paco de Lucía, who was named an adopted son of Mallorca by the Island Council in 2014. The master spent his final years on the island, where he composed and recorded Canción Andaluza, an album awarded a Grammy. This vital and creative bond with Mallorca defines the spirit of the festival.

A festival with a cultural and charitable vocation
The Festival Paco de Lucía Mallorca was founded by Soledad Bescós with a clear purpose: to preserve and disseminate the musical and human legacy of Paco de Lucía. The festival has a charitable character, allocating the funds raised to the Paco de Lucía Foundation, which promotes programmes of pedagogical innovation and access to musical education for young talents facing difficulties.
“In Mallorca I found the magic and inspiration to work, as well as the peace, serenity and calm I had been seeking for years. I am not moving again.”
— Paco de Lucía
The Paco de Lucía Foundation: preserving, sharing and educating
