The II Open Mallorca de Truc already has its official rules and calendar confirmed for the 2025-2026 edition. This prestigious tournament, which pays tribute to one of the most emblematic traditional card games in Mallorcan culture, will bring together players from all the municipalities of the island across three stages: local, regional and final. The Open thus reinforces its commitment to preserving and promoting this historic game, combining competition, tradition and a vibrant social atmosphere.

The organization has confirmed that a total of 16 municipalities will host the local phase, which will be the starting point of the championship. These phases will feature a minimum of 8 pairs per venue, ensuring that each municipality is represented in the tournament. Territorial assignment will be determined by the participants’ ID, although exceptions will allow players to choose in cases where the members of a pair belong to different municipalities. The winners of each local phase will gain direct access to the final, while the rest will have the opportunity to qualify through the regional phase.

Subsequently, the Open will hold two regional phases, scheduled for February 21 and March 14, both at the Búger sports center. These phases will award 16 additional spots each to complete the final tournament bracket. The registration system gives priority to pairs that have competed in the local phase, and classification will be determined based on the results achieved in the previous rounds.

Grand Final of the Open Mallorca de Truc, in 2026

The grand final, to be held at a location that will be announced soon, will bring together the 32 best pairs from Mallorca, selected exclusively on sporting merit. The organization has specified that the final’s structure will be based on the points accumulated by each pair, ensuring balanced matchups from the round of 32, round of 16 and quarterfinals onward.

In addition, the regulations establish clear rules to ensure the smooth running of the Open: strict punctuality, prohibition of using personal decks, replacement of damaged cards, and zero tolerance for any disrespect towards rivals or the organizing team.

With this new edition, the Open Mallorca de Truc 2025-2026 reaffirms itself as an essential event for lovers of Mallorcan culture and tradition, combining competitiveness, fair play and deep local roots.
