CaixaForum Palma will host In-Edit On Tour from September 24 to November 26, 2024, a series of music documentaries coming to the island as part of the prestigious International Music Documentary Festival of Barcelona, In-Edit. This cycle, which has become an international reference, offers a unique window into the power of music as a storyteller, transcending generations, styles, and cultures.
During these weeks, attendees will enjoy a selection of the best music documentaries from past In-Edit editions, covering genres as diverse as electronic, classic rock, reggae, jazz, flamenco, and more. Additionally, the sessions will feature presentations, discussions, and special events such as warm-up DJ sets or brief concerts, providing a fully immersive experience.
Philip Sherburne, a journalist specializing in electronic and experimental music, will present the sessions. With over three decades of writing for outlets like Pitchfork and The New York Times, Sherburne will bring his vast experience and knowledge to enhance the cycle. He will also lead some of the discussions following the screenings, offering a deep and critical perspective on the topics covered in the documentaries.
