Fiestas del Carme in Andratx 2024: programme of activities

The Fiestas del Carme in Andratx are one of the most eagerly awaited celebrations of the Mallorcan summer. This annual event, which pays homage to the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of sailors, is celebrated with a variety of activities for all ages. In 2024, from the 9th to the 16th of July, residents and visitors can enjoy a programme packed with tradition, culture and entertainment. Tuesday 9th July

20:00 – Torneig de truc (Truc tournament) at the Padel Club Port d’Andratx.
19:00 to 23:00 – Nit Jove (Youth Night) in the Casal de Ses Bassetes.

Wednesday 10th July

20:00 – Torneig de truc (Truc Tournament) at the Padel Club Port d’Andratx.
20:00 – Bingo for the benefit of the Basketball School in the Lonja del Puerto.

Thursday 11th July

11:00 – Children’s angling competition on the fishing boat quay.
16:30 – Canoe races at the Port d’Andratx regatta course.
20:00 – Rhythmic gymnastics exhibition in the Port’s fish market.
22:00 – Correfoc and Nit de Dimonis on the front line of the Port.
00:00 – Verbena in the Lonja del Puerto.

Friday 12th July

11:00 – Verge del Carme 2024 dinghy sailing regatta at the Port d’Andratx regatta course.
19:30 – Traditional dance demonstration by the Escoleta de Aires d’Andratx at the Faro Pequeño.
20:30 – Dinner of the Gent Gran del Port at the Faro Pequeño.
22:00 – Night of Habaneras at the Faro Pequeño.

Saturday 13th July

10:00 – Drawing competition for children (up to 6 years old and from 7 to 12 years old) in the Church Square.
12:00 – Exhibition of antique vehicles in the Lonja del Puerto.
20:00 – XII Nit del Cavall (12th Night of the Cavall) in the first line of the Port.
00:00 – Verbena in the Lonja del Puerto.

Sunday 14th July

21:00 – Exhibition of traditional music and dance by Aires d’Andratx in Paseo de Es Saluet.

Monday 15th July

19:00 – Presentation of the book “Barques de Bou” at the Club de Vela del Port d’Andratx.
20:00 – Children’s entertainment group at the Lonja del Puerto.
22:00 – Children’s film: Super Mario Bros. in the Lonja del Puerto.

Tuesday 16th July

20:00 – Mass in honour of the Mare de Déu del Carme in the parish church of Port d’Andratx.
20:45 – Singing of the Salve Marinera in the Plaza del Port.
21:00 – Seafaring Procession on the fishing boat quay.
22:30 – Musical Performance: ORQUESTRA SIMAL in the Lonja del Puerto.
