Port de Sóller is preparing to host the second edition of the Mediterranean Fest, an event that aims to raise awareness about the importance of conserving the Balearic Sea while offering a diverse and exciting program. On September 28th and 29th, science, sports, culture, and sustainability will come together in this festival sponsored by the Consell de Mallorca and the Ajuntament de Sóller.

A complete program for the whole family

The Mediterranean Fest 2024 offers activities for all tastes and ages. From sporting competitions such as the open water swimming race and the 5 km run, to educational workshops for the little ones. In addition, it will feature the participation of NGOs and local artisans in a market that promises to be an additional attraction for attendees.

Conference Schedule

One of the key pillars of the Mediterranean Fest is the conferences and debates on marine conservation and the Serra de Tramuntana. Experts in the field will share their knowledge on topics such as the preservation of local species, citizen science, and marine reserves, highlighting the importance of protecting our oceans for future generations.

Notable speakers include Biel Morey, who will talk about mantas in the Mediterranean, and Agustí Torres, with his presentation on sharks in the region. On Sunday, there will also be talks about cave diving and the importance of birds in the Serra de Tramuntana.
