Palma will host a new edition of \u201cViu Palma. La ciutat de les compres\u201d from 17th to 19th September 2026, a campaign aimed at bringing commercial areas to life with flash mobs, brass bands, xeremiers and circus parades across different streets and squares in the city. The initiative, promoted by PalmaActiva and PIMECO, aims to support small businesses and attract visitors to Palma\u2019s main shopping areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Viu Palma 2026<\/strong> campaign will run for three consecutive days, from Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th September, with travelling activities taking place across different neighbourhoods and shopping areas.<\/p>\n

The aim is to combine shopping, culture and entertainment<\/strong> to encourage residents and visitors to explore the city, discover local businesses and shop at independent stores.<\/p>\n

Viu Palma 2026 programme<\/h2>\n

The programme will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, 17th September<\/strong> and continue until Saturday 19th, with activities taking place both in the morning and afternoon.<\/p>\n

Thursday, 17th September<\/h3>\n

From 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm<\/strong>, a flash mob will travel through pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya, pla\u00e7a Major, pla\u00e7a del Mercat and La Rambla<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm<\/strong>, a brass band will pass through Nuredduna, Sindicat and Vel\u00e1zquez<\/strong>, while the xeremiers<\/strong> will make their way through Oms, Sant Miquel, Jaume II and Santo Domingo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The day will be completed with a circus parade in pla\u00e7a de Par\u00eds<\/strong>, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.<\/p>\n

Friday, 18th September<\/h3>\n

On Friday, the flash mob will return from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm<\/strong> in pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya, pla\u00e7a Major, pla\u00e7a del Mercat and La Rambla<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

From 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm<\/strong>, a circus parade will travel through Nuredduna, Sindicat, Jaume II and Sant Nicolau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the same time slot, a brass band will bring music to Argenteria, Sant Miquel and Oms<\/strong>, while the xeremiers will perform in pla\u00e7a de Madrid<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Saturday 19th: morning and afternoon activities<\/h2>\n

The final day of Viu Palma<\/strong> will extend the programme to different parts of the city.<\/p>\n

In the morning, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm<\/strong>, there will be a brass band in Son Ferriol<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm<\/strong>, a flash mob will travel through pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya, Els Geranis, l\u2019Olivar and Sindicat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Also from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm<\/strong>, there will be circus activities in Blanquerna, Sant Miquel, Oms, Jaume II and pla\u00e7a del Mercat<\/strong>, while the xeremiers will pass through Pere Garau, Sindicat and Vel\u00e1zquez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm<\/strong>, the xeremiers will travel through Sindicat, Colom, Jaume III and pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the same time slot, a circus parade will pass through pla\u00e7a d\u2019Espanya, pla\u00e7a Major and pla\u00e7a del Mercat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A campaign to support Palma\u2019s small businesses<\/h2>\n

\u201cViu Palma. La ciutat de les compres\u201d is promoted by PalmaActiva and PIMECO<\/strong> with the aim of strengthening local retail and generating more activity in the streets.<\/p>\n

The campaign aims to take activities to different shopping areas rather than concentrating them solely in the city centre, with events in places including Pere Garau, Son Ferriol, Blanquerna, Nuredduna, pla\u00e7a de Madrid and Els Geranis<\/strong>, as well as Palma\u2019s main central shopping areas.<\/p>\n

Throughout the three days, the activities will be travelling events designed to reach different audiences and make the streets more lively and dynamic.<\/p>\n
