The Teatre Principal de Palma launches its 2026-2027 season with subscriptions going on sale from 2nd September and general tickets from the 5th. The programme brings together theatre, dance, music, family shows and a new Opera Season, with names including La Zaranda, Coque Malla, Jaume Anglada, C\u00e9cile McLorin Salvant, Adriana Ozores and \u00c0ngels Gonyalons.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Teatre<\/p>\n

The new 2026-2027 season at the Teatre Principal de Palma<\/strong> now has confirmed dates for ticket sales.<\/p>\n

Subscriptions will be available from Wednesday, 2nd September<\/strong>, both at the theatre\u2019s physical box office and through its website, while general tickets will go on sale on Saturday, 5th September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The programme will officially begin on 25th September<\/strong> with Todos los \u00e1ngeles alzaron el vuelo<\/em>, by the historic company La Zaranda, and will continue over the following months with a wide selection of theatre, concerts, dance, family shows and opera.<\/p>\n

When do tickets for the Teatre Principal de Palma go on sale?<\/h2>\n

Sales will take place in two stages.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, 2nd September<\/strong>, the different subscriptions for the 2026-2027 season will go on sale. Subscribers will therefore have several days to choose their preferred seats before general ticket sales begin.<\/p>\n

In addition, the first 50 people to purchase their subscription directly from the Teatre Principal box office will receive a gift.<\/p>\n

Individual tickets for all performances will be available from Saturday, 5th September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The physical box office is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm<\/strong>. On Sundays, it opens one hour before the performance begins.<\/p>\n

Teatre Principal subscriptions: discounts of up to 40%<\/h2>\n

The Teatre Principal is keeping the same subscription prices and options for this season.<\/p>\n

The largest discount is offered by the Abono Extra<\/strong>, which provides a 40% discount<\/strong> when purchasing tickets for five or more performances, excluding opera.<\/p>\n

The Abono General<\/strong> offers a 25% discount when choosing three or four performances. The Familiar Intergeneracional<\/strong> subscription also remains available, offering a 25% discount on two tickets for two or more shows in the family programme.<\/p>\n

Other options include the Abono Duo<\/strong>, with a 25% discount; the Abono Dansa<\/strong>, also offering 25% off two or more dance performances; and the Abono \u00d2pera<\/strong>, with a 20% discount<\/strong> for audiences choosing two or more titles from the Opera Season.<\/p>\n

La Zaranda will open the season on 25th September<\/h2>\n

The first major theatre production will arrive on 25th September<\/strong> with La Zaranda and Todos los \u00e1ngeles alzaron el vuelo<\/em>, a work exploring the margins of society through reflection and social criticism.<\/p>\n

Two days later, on 27th September<\/strong>, Ester Gunt\u00edn will open the dance programme with Quiso negro<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The theatre programme will continue on 30th September with El arquitecto<\/em>, by Josep R. Cerd\u00e0, as part of Fira B!, followed by Cyrano<\/em> on 1st October and Bachata<\/em> on the 2nd.<\/p>\n

On 3rd October, Minucia Teatro from Menorca will present Palabras delicadas<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Coque Malla, \u00c0ngels Gonyalons and Adriana Ozores among the season\u2019s leading names<\/h2>\n

The autumn programme will bring together several productions featuring well-known performers.<\/p>\n

On 6th November<\/strong>, Andrea Jim\u00e9nez will present Casting Lear<\/em>, a production inspired by Shakespeare\u2019s King Lear<\/em>.<\/p>\n

On 14th November<\/strong>, \u00c0ngels Gonyalons will star in El retrato de Dorian Gray<\/em>, an adaptation of Oscar Wilde\u2019s novel that has appeared at Barcelona\u2019s Grec Festival.<\/p>\n

Another highlight will be Tot fent \u00abLa bella Helena\u00bb<\/em>, by Miquel Mas Fiol, on 29th November. The production is a collaboration between the Teatre Principal and Barcelona\u2019s Teatre Lliure.<\/p>\n

On 3rd December<\/strong>, Pere Arquillu\u00e9 and Imma Colomer will perform Dinamarca<\/em>, by Llu\u00efsa Cunill\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Two days later, one of the season\u2019s most anticipated productions will arrive: Coque Malla will star in La \u00f3pera de los tres centavos<\/em><\/strong>, by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill.<\/p>\n

In 2027, on 24th January<\/strong>, Adriana Ozores and Miguel Hermoso will lead the cast of El jard\u00edn quemado<\/em>, by Juan Mayorga.<\/p>\n

Jaume Anglada returns to the Teatre Principal<\/h2>\n

One of the highlights of the music programme will come on 7th November<\/strong>, when Jaume Anglada<\/strong> returns to the stage after more than a year away from performing.<\/p>\n

The programme also includes a new edition of the ME_MMIX festival on 13th November, featuring Ensemble Phace and Nacho de Paz.<\/p>\n

On 25th November<\/strong>, the Jazz Voyeur Festival will arrive at the Principal with acclaimed American jazz singer C\u00e9cile McLorin Salvant<\/strong> and pianist Sullivan Fortner.<\/p>\n

Germans Tanner will perform their Infinitamente<\/em> concert on 1st December, while the Alternatilla Festival will close its tenth edition with a special concert on 10th December.<\/p>\n

Christmas concerts and symphonic music<\/h2>\n

Even before the theatre season officially opens, the traditional film music concert by the Orquestra Simf\u00f2nica de les Illes Balears will take place on 24th September<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Extraordinary Santa Cecilia Concert<\/strong>, scheduled for 22nd November, will feature the Banda de M\u00fasica de Santany\u00ed.<\/p>\n

The Teatre Principal choirs will perform their traditional Christmas Concert on 16th and 17th December<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In January, the Orquestra de Cambra de Mallorca, conducted by Bernat Quetglas, will celebrate its first ten years with a special concert on 23rd January<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Theatre for families and children in Palma<\/h2>\n

Family programming will once again play an important role during the season.<\/p>\n

Tumbalafusta<\/em>, by Xavier Bob\u00e9s, Pau Matas and La Ruta 40, will be performed on 10th and 11th October<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On 20th and 21st November<\/strong>, Niu<\/em> will arrive at the theatre, a new Teatre Principal co-production with Catalina Florit and Irene Soler designed especially for very young children.<\/p>\n

During the Christmas period, on 2nd and 3rd January 2027<\/strong>, Txema Mu\u00f1oz will present Gota<\/em>, a production recognised with awards including the Max Award and the FETEN Award for Best Street Show.<\/p>\n

The children\u2019s programme will continue in March with a new edition of Opera for Babies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

2026-2027 Opera Season in Palma<\/h2>\n

The 41st Teatre Principal Opera Season<\/strong> will feature six major events between October 2026 and June 2027.<\/p>\n

The first title will be Faust<\/em>, by Charles Gounod, in a production by the Op\u00e9ra de Lille and the Op\u00e9ra Comique in Paris. Performances are scheduled for 28th and 30th October and 1st November<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Zarzuela will arrive on 8th and 10th January<\/strong> with Pablo Soroz\u00e1bal\u2019s La tabernera del puerto<\/em>, with stage direction by Mario Gas and musical direction by Manuel Coves.<\/p>\n

One of the season\u2019s major premieres will arrive in February with Orlando furioso<\/em>. It will be the first opera by Antonio Vivaldi to form part of the history of the Teatre Principal Opera Season<\/strong>, with performances on the 17th, 19th and 21st.<\/p>\n

The Easter Concert will take place on 24th March, followed by Arnold Sch\u00f6nberg\u2019s Pierrot Lunaire<\/em> on 28th April.<\/p>\n

The cycle will conclude in June with Puccini\u2019s Madama Butterfly<\/strong>, starring soprano Erika Grimaldi. There will be four performances on 14th, 16th, 18th and 20th June 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A season running until June 2027<\/h2>\n

The 2026-2027 programme will once again divide activity between the Teatre Principal\u2019s Sala Gran and Sala Petita, combining its own productions and co-productions with companies and theatres from outside Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Subscriptions going on sale from 2nd September<\/strong> and general ticket sales beginning on 5th September<\/strong> mark the start of a season that will begin on stage on the 25th with La Zaranda and continue until June 2027 with Madama Butterfly<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
