The Modernist Route of S\u00f3ller<\/strong> is beginning to take shape as a new cultural proposal to better understand one of Mallorca\u2019s most distinctive architectural heritages. S\u00f3ller Town Council has presented the first phase of this project, which combines history, dissemination and technology to bring S\u00f3ller\u2019s modernist heritage closer to both residents and visitors.<\/p>\n

The initiative has a clear objective: to help people rediscover buildings, spaces and corners of the municipality that form part of the local identity, but whose history often goes unnoticed in everyday life. Through informative totems, QR codes, digital content and future heritage markers, S\u00f3ller aims to highlight the architectural and cultural legacy that shaped the Vall between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.<\/p>\n

What is the Modernist Route of S\u00f3ller?<\/h2>\n

The Modernist Route of S\u00f3ller is a municipal project designed to promote the town\u2019s modernist heritage and strengthen the connection between local residents and their history. The project has been promoted by S\u00f3ller Town Council and developed by professionals and companies from the municipality itself, including Vivir del Cuento, Som2 and Espiral. Modernism forms part of S\u00f3ller\u2019s most recognisable image. This context left a visible mark on fa\u00e7ades, manor houses, public spaces and emblematic buildings.<\/p>\n

The future route will make it possible to interpret this legacy in an organised, accessible and informative way. The route will include around 50 heritage markers<\/h2>\n

The project will continue over the coming months with the installation of around fifty heritage markers<\/strong> throughout the municipality. These elements will make it possible to create a more complete interpretive route dedicated to S\u00f3ller\u2019s modernist heritage.<\/p>\n

Each marker will include historical information, audiovisual resources and informative content designed to facilitate a better understanding of the whole. A specific website to consult the Modernist Route<\/h2>\n

The Modernist Route of S\u00f3ller will also have a specific website<\/strong>. It will provide detailed information on the different buildings and spaces included in the project, as well as audiovisual material, explanatory content and a visit proposal adapted to different audiences.<\/p>\n

This digital dimension will be key to allowing the route to be consulted autonomously and flexibly. Second phase in October, during Les Journ\u00e9es<\/h2>\n

The second phase of the project will be presented next October 2026<\/strong>, coinciding with the celebration of the second edition of Les Journ\u00e9es<\/strong>. During this event, the complete project will be unveiled, together with a documentary and a photographic book dedicated to S\u00f3ller\u2019s modernist heritage.<\/p>\n

With this new stage, the municipality aims to consolidate a proposal that goes beyond a simple tourist route. The intention is to build a shared narrative around the value of local heritage and to reinforce pride in an architectural legacy that is unique in Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Although the Modernist Route of S\u00f3ller will clearly be of interest to those visiting the municipality, the project has been conceived especially for the local community.
