Between <strong>June and September<\/strong>, this iconic cultural centre managed by the Consell de Mallorca will become one of Palma\u2019s leading cultural and leisure venues, thanks to a wide-ranging schedule of free outdoor activities.<\/p>\n<p>The programme includes theatre, concerts, family-friendly performances, storytelling sessions, exhibitions and cultural events for all ages, with the debut of the new <strong>\u201cPrincipal a la fresca\u201d<\/strong> series as one of this year\u2019s highlights.<\/p>\n<h2>La Miseric\u00f2rdia strengthens its role as a summer cultural hub in Palma<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46494\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcacaprice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/principal-a-la-fresca-misericordia.webp\" alt=\"Principal a la fresca La Miseric\u00f2rdia\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1067\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Councillor for Culture and Heritage, <strong>Ant\u00f2nia Roca<\/strong>, highlighted the institution\u2019s commitment to bringing culture closer to both residents and visitors during the summer months.<\/p>\n<p>Most activities will take place in the gardens and outdoor spaces of the <strong>La Miseric\u00f2rdia Cultural Centre<\/strong>, which have recently been renovated to enhance the visitor experience.<\/p>\n<p>All events are <strong>free of charge<\/strong>, subject to venue capacity.<\/p>\n<h2>Principal a la fresca: the major cultural addition for 2026<\/h2>\n<p>The main new feature this summer is the <strong>\u201cPrincipal a la fresca\u201d<\/strong> programme, an initiative designed to bring performing arts to the public in an open-air setting.<\/p>\n<p>The programme includes four major events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>13 June \u2013 9:30 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Filles de la Miseric\u00f2rdia<\/em>, by Iguana Teatre.<\/li>\n<li><strong>28 June \u2013 10:00 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>The Day David Bowie Died<\/em>, based on the novel by Sebasti\u00e0 Portell and presented to mark LGBTQ+ Pride Day.<\/li>\n<li><strong>3 July \u2013 10:00 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Zarzuela Recital<\/em>, featuring soprano Natalia Salom, tenor Antoni Lliteres and pianist Alicia Moreno.<\/li>\n<li><strong>5 July \u2013 10:00 pm<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Petites trag\u00e8dies<\/em>, a free adaptation of texts by Aleksandr Pushkin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Miseric\u00f2rdia Petit: activities for children and families<\/h2>\n<p>Families will also play a leading role thanks to the <strong>\u201cMiseric\u00f2rdia Petit\u201d<\/strong> programme, featuring activities specially designed for children.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creative workshops<\/li>\n<li>Craft activities and badge-making workshops<\/li>\n<li>Storytelling sessions<\/li>\n<li>Interactive games<\/li>\n<li>Sensory activities<\/li>\n<li>Musical entertainment<\/li>\n<li><em>The Mystery of La Miseric\u00f2rdia and the Dragon of Na Coca<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Bags with Identity<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Free concerts at La Miseric\u00f2rdia this summer<\/h2>\n<p>Music will once again take centre stage in the cultural centre\u2019s gardens through the <strong>\u201cDissabtes a la Miseric\u00f2rdia\u201d<\/strong> concert series, featuring artists from a variety of musical Crida<\/li>\n<li>Guitarr\u00f3 Esqueixat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Concerts will feature pop, jazz, singer-songwriter performances and traditional Mallorcan music.<\/p>\n<h2>More cultural activities at La
