Espanya<\/strong> from <strong>May 29 to June 7<\/strong>, once again turning this central square in Palma into one of Mallorca\u2019s main literary and cultural meeting points.<\/p>\n<p>The 44th edition of the fair will feature <strong>16 bookstores<\/strong>, alongside the institutional stands of the <strong>Ajuntament de Palma<\/strong> and the <strong>Consell de Mallorca<\/strong>, returning this year as one of the event\u2019s main highlights.<\/p>\n<p>The cultural event is organised by the <strong>Gremi de Llibreters de Mallorca<\/strong> and will offer more than <strong>40 activities<\/strong>, including book presentations, author signings, workshops, storytelling sessions, concerts, and family activities.<\/p>\n<h2>Palma Book Fair 2026 returns to Pla\u00e7a Espanya<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-46356\" src=\"https:\/\/mallorcacaprice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/fira-llibre-palma.webp\" alt=\"fira llibre palma\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1066\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the second consecutive year, the fair will take place at <strong>Pla\u00e7a Espanya<\/strong>, a central location that received an excellent response from both residents and visitors last year.<\/p>\n<p>Palma\u2019s Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Culture, <strong>Javier Bonet<\/strong>, highlighted during the presentation that the fair transforms Palma into \u201cthe capital of books\u201d for more than a week, bringing culture and literature closer to all audiences.<\/p>\n<h2>More than 40 cultural and literary activities in Palma<\/h2>\n<p>The Palma Book Fair 2026 programme will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Book presentations<\/li>\n<li>Author signings<\/li>\n<li>Children\u2019s and family workshops<\/li>\n<li>Storytelling sessions<\/li>\n<li>Concerts and live music performances<\/li>\n<li>Reading clubs<\/li>\n<li>Activities in municipal libraries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One of the most special moments of the fair will be the performance by the historic children\u2019s group <strong>Cucorba<\/strong>, returning to the stage just months before their final farewell after nearly 50 years of history.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the official opening will take place on <strong>Friday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m.<\/strong>, featuring the opening speech by <strong>Fades<\/strong> and a live performance by <strong>Monkey Doo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>That same evening will also host the <strong>Nit de Fira<\/strong>, an initiative successfully introduced last year that will keep the venue open until 10:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<h2>Guest authors and support for emerging local talent<\/h2>\n<p>The 2026 edition will strengthen its commitment to promoting emerging local and national authors, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Yunez Chaib<\/li>\n<li>Olivia Lund<\/li>\n<li>Marcos Augusto<\/li>\n<li>Laia Malo<\/li>\n<li>\u00c0lex Fito<\/li>\n<li>Cecilia Navarro<\/li>\n<li>Pere Estelrich<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The fair will also welcome renowned literary and cultural figures such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Miguel Gane<\/li>\n<li>Alina Not<\/li>\n<li>Eudald Espluga<\/li>\n<li>Luciana Peker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event will also be part of the <strong>Any Blai Bonet<\/strong> programme, including a recital organised by the <strong>Fundaci\u00f3 Mallorca Liter\u00e0ria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Palma\u2019s municipal libraries also join the fair<\/h2>\n<p>Palma\u2019s municipal library network will organise parallel activities throughout the fair in venues including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Encarnaci\u00f3 Vi\u00f1as Library<\/li>\n<li>Cort Library<\/li>\n<li>Molinar Library<\/li>\n<li>Sant Jordi Library<\/li>\n<li>Nou Llevant Children\u2019s Library<\/li>\n<li>Son Ximelis Library<\/li>\n<li>Indioteria Library<\/li>\n<li>Joan Alcover Library<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme will feature wellness workshops, baby activities, storytelling sessions, cooperative games, and reading clubs for different age groups.<\/p>\n<h2>Institutional stands and Palma\u2019s cultural heritage<\/h2>\n<p>One of the most notable additions this year is the return of the institutional stands from the <strong>Ajuntament de Palma<\/strong> and the <strong>Consell de Mallorca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors will find publications related to Mallorcan history,
