<\/p>\nThe Museu de Mallorca is hosting, from 24 February to 10 May 2026, a major exhibition dedicated to Antoni Maura, one of the key figures in Spanish politics at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.<\/p>\n
Curated by Manuel Oliver Moragues and organised by the Institut d\u2019Estudis Bale\u00e0rics, the exhibition offers an engaging and visual journey through his life, combining history, heritage and previously unseen pieces.<\/p>\n

Spread across three exhibition rooms, the show allows visitors to explore the personal and political universe of the Mallorcan statesman through:<\/p>\n
One of the main highlights is the screening of the documentary Maura en 12 tra\u00e7os<\/em><\/strong>, produced by the IEB and IB3, which helps place his figure in context from a contemporary perspective.<\/p>\n The exhibition narrative is structured into seven thematic blocks that present both the politician and the man within his environment:<\/p>\n Beyond the institutional narrative, the exhibition shows how his political thinking was deeply shaped by his intellectual background and by the Mallorcan context in which he grew up.<\/p>\n Widely regarded as one of Spain\u2019s greatest statesmen, Antoni Maura was respected even by his political opponents, who acknowledged his independence and the absence of personal ambition in his public career.<\/p>\n The exhibition also helps visitors understand a particularly brilliant period in Mallorcan society, linked to the cultural drive of the Institut Balear and inspired by the ideas of Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos, which influenced an entire generation.<\/p>\n This cultural proposal not only reviews the trajectory of a historical figure, but also invites reflection on:<\/p>\nSeven sections to understand Antoni Maura<\/h2>\n
