The 2026 edition of Teatre de Barra<\/strong> takes us back to the 1980s with five short-format plays that will be performed every Thursday in restaurants and venues around Blanquerna and 31 de Desembre<\/strong> in Palma.<\/p>\n The new edition, presented under the theme \u201cNit de barra. Anys 80\u201d<\/strong> (\u201cBar Night. The 80s\u201d), begins on Thursday 17 September 2026<\/strong> and will bring together theatre, gastronomy and the atmosphere of Palma\u2019s bars and restaurants.<\/p>\n The programme will culminate in a grand finale on Saturday 24 October at 8:00 pm<\/strong> at the Teatre Municipal Maruja Alfaro Mar i Terra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Teatre de Barra Palma 2026<\/strong> will take place over six consecutive Thursdays, starting on 17 September<\/strong>, in different restaurants and venues in the Blanquerna and 31 de Desembre areas.<\/p>\n The initiative was presented at Palma City Hall<\/strong> by the Director General of Music and Performing Arts, Rafel Brunet, together with the creator, promoter and coordinator of Teatre de Barra, Javier Matesanz.<\/p>\n The 2026 edition uses the 1980s as its main point of reference<\/strong>, bringing together five short-format productions inspired by the decade.<\/p>\n As in previous editions, the concept combines theatre and gastronomy<\/strong>, turning participating restaurants and bars into small stages where audiences can enjoy different performances throughout the evening.<\/p>\n The programme features five productions, each with its own creative team and cast:<\/p>\n The performances will once again take place in the venues that participated in the previous edition. The participating establishments are:<\/p>\n These restaurants and bars will become temporary theatre spaces, allowing audiences to experience the productions in an informal setting while enjoying the participating establishments\u2019 gastronomic offering.<\/p>\n The performances will take place on Thursdays, with four different time slots:<\/p>\n This format allows spectators to move between different venues and enjoy several performances during the same evening.<\/p>\n The programme will conclude with the grand finale on Saturday 24 October 2026 at 8:00 pm<\/strong> at the Teatre Municipal Maruja Alfaro Mar i Terra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The final event will include the presentation of the awards for the winning productions in the theatre category<\/strong>.
