The Consell de Mallorca<\/strong> presents the second edition of the Hunting and Rural World Fair 2025<\/strong>, an event that combines tradition, nature, and rural culture in a program designed for the whole family. The fair will take place on September 13 and 14<\/strong> at the Son Pardo Racetrack<\/strong> and will feature a wide range of exhibitors, animals, and activities<\/strong> related to hunting, rural life, and Mallorca\u2019s biodiversity.<\/p>\n

An event to preserve tradition and the environment<\/h2>\n

The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Lloren\u00e7 Galm\u00e9s<\/strong>, and the Second Vice President and Minister of Environment, Rural Affairs, and Sports, Pedro Bestard<\/strong>, officially presented the fair\u2019s program together with prominent representatives of the sector, such as Sebasti\u00e0 Perell\u00f3<\/strong>, Island Director of Hunting, and Gaspar Oliver<\/strong>, President of the Mallorca Institute of Equestrian Sports (IEHM).<\/p>\n

During the presentation, a selection of animals was displayed, including horses and carriages<\/strong>, and it featured the presence of renowned professionals such as chef Koldo Royo<\/strong> and hunter and writer Javier Sagrera Azpillaga<\/strong>. According to Galm\u00e9s, \u201chunting represents a living tradition and a connection with our rural world,\u201d and the fair aims to highlight these traditions<\/strong> while promoting respect for the environment and biodiversity.<\/p>\n

For his part, Bestard emphasized that the fair intends to be a meeting point for all Mallorcans<\/strong> interested in the island\u2019s culture, nature, and hunting world.<\/p>\n

Wide range of animals and activities<\/h2>\n

This edition will feature exhibitions of animals, birds, horses, and native livestock<\/strong>, highlighting the presence of the Balearic goat<\/strong>, a unique protected species in the world celebrating 25 years of recognition. In addition, there will be purebred ancestral goats<\/strong> included in an enclosure within the fair.<\/p>\n

The event will open on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with the release of carrier pigeons<\/strong> and will continue until Sunday at 8:00 p.m. Among the scheduled activities are:<\/p>\n
