Paysage Mir\u00f3<\/strong> is much more than an exhibition: it is the most ambitious cultural project ever dedicated to Joan Mir\u00f3<\/strong> in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands. A unique opportunity to rediscover the artist\u2019s work and creative universe through more than 100 pieces<\/strong> \u2014including paintings, sculptures, documents, and personal objects\u2014 displayed across four exhibition spaces<\/strong> in Palma.<\/p>\n

This major collective exhibition, the result of an unprecedented alliance between cultural institutions such as the Museo Reina Sof\u00eda, Es Baluard, the Mir\u00f3 Mallorca Foundation and Casal Solleric, opens on 30 July 2025<\/strong> and will remain open until 2026 in some venues.<\/p>\n

A journey through Mir\u00f3\u2019s landscape<\/h2>\n

The Paysage Mir\u00f3 project in Palma is structured into four exhibitions<\/strong> that are independent but thematically connected. Each offers a comprehensive view of Mir\u00f3\u2019s artistic evolution between 1916 and 1981<\/strong>, as well as his deep connection with Mallorca.<\/p>\n

La Lonja de Palma<\/em> \u2013 \u201cThe Initial Force\u201d<\/h4>\n

From 31 July to 8 February<\/strong>
Bronze sculptures that engage with the Gothic architecture of La Lonja, reflecting the symbolic, ancestral, and cosmic power of Mir\u00f3\u2019s work.<\/p>\n

Fundaci\u00f3 Mir\u00f3 Mallorca<\/em> \u2013 \u201cThe Magic Spark\u201d<\/h4>\n

From 30 July to 11 January<\/strong>
An intimate journey through his personal and artistic influences. Featuring works by Picasso, Calder, and Klee, among others.<\/p>\n

Es Baluard Museum<\/em> \u2013 \u201cPainting Between Things\u201d<\/h4>\n

From 1 August to 9 November<\/strong>
An exploration of how Mir\u00f3 broke away from traditional painting through a more tactile, conceptual, and poetic approach.<\/p>\n

Casal Solleric<\/em> \u2013 \u201cColour and Its Shadow\u201d<\/h4>\n

From 1 August to 9 November<\/strong>
A non-linear journey through Mir\u00f3\u2019s plastic universe, focusing on the dialogue between painting and sculpture, especially from the 1960s onwards.<\/p>\n

Mir\u00f3 and Mallorca: an eternal bond<\/h2>\n

Paysage Mir\u00f3 highlights the inspiration Mir\u00f3 found on the island: its light, its silence, and its landscape as an artistic refuge. The exhibition also recalls the historic 1970s La Lonja show and Mir\u00f3\u2019s impact on Mallorca\u2019s contemporary art scene.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Museo de Mallorca<\/strong> joins in with an exhibition dedicated to the historic Serie Mallorca<\/em>, published by Sala Pelaires in 1973.<\/p>\n

Paysage Mir\u00f3 in Palma: a must-see exhibition<\/h2>\n
