Flexas Festival 2025 in Palma<\/strong> is getting ready to light up the city. On July 4th<\/strong>, the Parc de la Mar<\/strong> will once again host this unique and massive celebration, which this year commemorates 21 years of history<\/strong>. Officially declared of municipal interest by the Palma City Council<\/strong>, the festival promises to once again be an explosion of music, color, freedom, and activism, with a program that blends culture, performance, and LGTBIQA+ advocacy.<\/p>\n

A festival with history (and soul)<\/h2>\n

The first Flexas Festival<\/strong> was held in 2005 at the corner of Llotgeta and Pes del Formatge streets, in front of the iconic Bar Flexas<\/strong>, the heart and origin of the event. What began as a spontaneous street party to celebrate the bar\u2019s anniversary has grown year after year into one of Palma\u2019s most popular summer events<\/strong>, now drawing an average of 15,000 attendees<\/strong> and moving to the Parc de la Mar<\/strong> for safety and comfort.<\/p>\n

Since then, the festival has become a must-attend date in Mallorca\u2019s summer calendar, with the unmistakable flair of its host and soul of the party: Pepa Charro<\/strong>, best known as La Terremoto de Alcorc\u00f3n<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This year, for the first time, you can buy your drinks in advance<\/strong> until July 2nd<\/strong> directly at Bar Flexas. It\u2019s a great way to skip the lines on the big day and spend that time dancing to the hits playing at Parc de la Mar.<\/p>\n

Flexas Festival 2025<\/strong> will once again feature a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive lineup. On stage at Parc de la Mar, there will be up-and-coming performers and big-name artists<\/strong>, along with moments of humor, performance art, and surprises. As tradition goes, one of the most anticipated moments comes at midnight<\/strong>, when the International Surprise Artist<\/strong> takes the stage \u2014 their identity kept secret until the very last minute. Previous surprise acts have included Massiel, Samantha Fox, Az\u00facar Moreno, Leo Bassi, and Tomeu Penya<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The evening also includes the presentation of the legendary Gamba de Oro<\/strong>, an award recognizing outstanding figures in the world of culture.<\/p>\n

A party, yes… but with a message<\/h2>\n

What makes Flexas Festival unique is not only its artistic value but also its deep commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion<\/strong>. Born in the Canamunt neighborhood with strong community support, the festival has always been a safe and open space for all identities, and a voice for the LGTBIQA+<\/strong> movement in Mallorca.<\/p>\n

As stated by the City Council, the festival promotes a culture that is contemporary, participatory, and barrier-free. Since 2017, it has held the Public Interest Activity declaration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Flexas Kids and family-friendly vibe<\/h2>\n

Flexas Festival 2025<\/strong> also offers a special space for kids through the Flexas Kids<\/strong> program, which includes inclusive and fun activities for the whole family. It\u2019s a way to promote values of love, freedom, and respect from an early age, bringing generations together in one joyful celebration.<\/p>\n
