<\/p>\nThe Consell de Mallorca has introduced the new brand Moda Artesana de Mallorca at the ITB tourism fair in Berlin, a seal that champions tradition, quality, and authenticity in fashion. This initiative, led by the Vice President of the Consell and Minister of Culture and Heritage, Ant\u00f2nia Roca, aims to establish this brand as an attraction for responsible and sustainable tourism.<\/p>\n
During the presentation, Roca emphasized the importance of this seal as a tool to promote and protect the island\u2019s traditional fashion trades: \u201cMallorcan artisan fashion is much more than an economic sector; it is an expression of our identity and an example of craftsmanship passed down through generations. With this brand, we aim to protect and promote our traditional trades and position them as a distinguishing factor in today\u2019s fashion world.\u201d<\/p>\n
To achieve this, the Consell de Mallorca is already working with hoteliers and industry associations to create synergies and give visibility to this brand. The goal is for Moda Artesana de Mallorca to become a recognized benchmark for quality and authenticity at an international level.<\/p>\n

Under the slogan “Vesteix Mallorca,” the brand invites both residents and visitors to discover and wear garments that tell the island\u2019s story, connecting the past with the present through textile craftsmanship.<\/p>\n
To ensure production excellence, a Technical Commission has been established, composed of experts in craftsmanship, fashion, communication, and marketing, responsible for defining the criteria for obtaining the Moda Artesana de Mallorca seal. Among the requirements, at least 75% of the production process must take place on the island, including design and manufacturing, and creators must hold the Artisan Certificate issued by the Consell de Mallorca.<\/p>\n
This seal not only protects and enhances traditional crafts but also reinforces the commitment to conscious and sustainable tourism. Products bearing the Moda Artesana de Mallorca seal are aimed at travelers who value authenticity, respect the environment, and appreciate local traditions.
